  1. Self-Cleaning Mass Flow Meter For Dirty Gas Applications
    2/21/2016

With its innovative self-cleaning purge ports, the Model GF90 Flow Meter from Fluid Components International (FCI) maintains optimum flow measurement performance while dramatically reducing maintenance costs in rugged industry applications where dirt, grit and grime are present in the fluid

  2. FCI FlexSwitch FLT Series
    2/21/2016

The FLT93S insertion type FlexSwitch for flow and temperature monitoring represents the first true technological breakthrough in thermal technology in over a decade.

  3. Handling Dry Bulk Solids: Lessons Learned From DSI Systems
    2/17/2016

SOLVAir Solutions' recent presentation at EUEC 2016 reviewed procedures necessary for handling dry bulk solids in a Dry Sorbent Injection system. Respecting procedures to ensure safe unloading, keeping piping simple for timely offloading, controlling the transport air quality and flow as well as the moisture content by using accurate sensors and methods - each course of action contributes to the safe, efficient handling of dry bulk solids.

  4. California Power Utility Uses New SCU Media To Meet Nickel Discharge
    2/16/2016

Evoqua was contacted by a large Southern California power utility. The customer was in the first phase of a large investment at the site and required assistance to drain a large cooling water intake system. Evoqua evaluated treatment with the new SCU adsorptive media and was capable of reaching the desired treatment goal.

  5. Copper CMP/CMP Wastewater Treatment With Water Recycling
    2/16/2016

Evoqua Water Technologies was approached by a semiconductor tool manufacturer based in Silicon Valley to assist in the design of an automated CMP and copper CMP waste treatment system. After careful economic evaluations, it became clear that the largest cost of ownership of the treatment system was the removal of the hazardous waste sludge from a classical two stage precipitation/clarification system. Any method of precipitation produces copper sludge which would be required to be handled as a hazardous waste in the state of California.

  6. FCI Green Energy Applications Guide
    2/9/2016

This free tutorial guide profiles nine green energy applications and highlights many of the factors that wastewater treatment process and plant engineers must consider to achieve optimum flow meter performance, to reduce instrument maintenance, and to ensure long service life.

  7. FCI MT Series
    2/8/2016

FCI’s MT Series Multipoint Mass Flowmeters are ideal for today's most challenging industrial air or gas handling applications and continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS)

  8. Air / Gas Mass Flow Meter Improves Wastewater Treatment Processing Efficiency
    2/3/2016

One of the most common processes in wastewater treatment is the activated sludge method, which biologically treats the wastewater through the use of large aeration basins. This process requires the pumping of compressed air into the aeration basins where a diffuser system ensures the air is distributed evenly for optimum treatment. The energy needed to provide compressed air is a significant cost in the operation of a wastewater treatment plant.

  9. Digester Biogas Flow Monitoring
    1/25/2016

A wastewater treatment plant needed to measure biogas traveling into and out of a gas line leading into a Digester Dystor gas bag. The amount of gas and direction of flow is critical for measurements to meet EPA regulations.

  10. Digester Biogas Flow Measurement
    1/22/2016

The engineers at a municipal wastewater treatment utility were expanding their biogas digester system and were seeking an improvement over their existing, maintenance-intensive flow metering technology. They needed to measure the amount of gas contained within a gas bag as well as the flow rate of the gases traveling from the gas bag system into a co-generation power system.
