Standard Pump, Inc.L Series vertical centrifugal pumps are designed for handling the corrosive fluids involved in waste treatment, sump draining, tank transfer, agitation, and wet process and other industrial applications.
Except for their polymer-coated shafts, all components of these compound-impeller pumps are of injection-molded polymer--CPVC (180°F), Kynar ( 260°F), or PP( 150°F). Models come in flow rates of 17 to 80 GPM with pressures to 68 ft H2O.
The seal-less design reportedly allows indefinite run-dry capability. The compound impeller prevents liquid from rising in the shaft column, even at maximum head, protecting the motor from corrosion. A vapor seal between the rotating shaft and support column offers protection for the standard C frame , The motor is totally enclosed and fan-cooled.
