This new two-way valve (type 6228) provides an ON/OFF flow control solution, especially when combined with Burkert's flow controllers or flow switches (type 8035 or 8032). The valve is available in 3/8-in. and ½-in. NPT, with Cv values for water flow at 2.1 and 3.76, respectively. Operating at pressures from 7 to 140 psi at temperatures from 14°F to 121°F, the valve is rated with a 15cpm, 100% duty cycle. Used universally throughout plant equipment, the type 6228 handles most neutral fluids including water, hydraulic oils, oils or fats without additives. The servo-assisted valve action shuts tight even when used with pressurized air.
The type 6228 is a servo-assisted 2/2-way valve with an isolating diaphragm. The valve is normally closed (NC) by spring force. When energized, the solenoid opens the pilot valve first. Then the fluid media pressure opens the valve against the pressure drop above the diaphragm. Control voltages can be 24VDC, 24, 120, and 240 VAC. It is available with NBR, EPDM, or FPM seals and standard or EaseOn cable plugs.
