Bacharach, Inc.us from GMD Systems is available with a demand sampling option, taking samples of gas levels on demand rather than as a continuous process. The instrument possesses a sealed push-button switch mounted in the carrying handle. This button modifies the instrument behavior to provide control over the sampling process and the alarm operation. As the instrument collects a sample, it will display an approximate reading until the sampling cycle is complete. The operator may interrupt a sample or start sampling at any time. Between samples, the instrument sits inactive, displaying, at any time. Between samples, the instrument sits inactive, displaying the last reading taken, waiting for the next sample.

The Bacharach, Inc.us is the only paper tape toxic gas detector of its kind with UL approval as an intrinsically safe instrument capable of measuring down to ppb range. Advanced features include 15 second quick response, doubled datalog memory capability to 4000 points, adjustability, gas specific, default setting, and an emergency response which uses a combination of an audible gas alarm and visual fault warnings.
