Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, is proud to announce the official release of the Thermo Scientific synchronized hybrid ambient real-time particulate monitor, Model 5030i SHARP. Designed around the success of its predecessor, the Thermo Scientific 5030 SHARP monitor and the Gas Analyzer iSeries platform, the 5030i SHARP incorporates many of the key features and benefits of those platforms.

The Model 5030i SHARP is an automated, continuous, non-step wise, ambient particulate monitor built on the proven iSeries design platform. The Model 5030i SHARP combines the precision of light scattering nephelometry with the accuracy of beta-attenuation, as well as the density and background beta rejection as the means towards a refined mass measurement of the collected aerosol. Since it is a hybrid monitor, the addition of the nephelometer allows the unit to give a near real-time response of 1 minute data updated every 1 second. This instrument is to be used in the monitoring of PM-10 & PM-2.5 particulate. The iSeries Advantage includes integrated flash memory for increased data storage, enhanced Ethernet connectivity, remote data access as well as easily programmable short-cut keys, iPort communication software and a modular design for future upgrades and enhancements.

The previous version of the 5030 SHARP will continue to be offered for sale and supported by Thermo Scientific.
