Soil-Sement Awarded The BNQ

Canton, Ohio /PRNewswire/ - The BNQ (Bureau de normalisation du Québec) has issued two new BNQ Certifications to Midwest Industrial Supply, Inc., for Soil-Sement® Engineered Formula. Soil-Sement Engineered Formula joins Midwest's EnviroKleen®, giving Midwest three separate BNQ Certifications.

Accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC), the BNQ Certification provides the users of Soil-Sement Engineered Formula proof that Midwest has submitted its products to a quality assessment process conducted by an independent third party and is committed to user safety, and a promise of competence, quality and reliability. BNQ Certification is recognized internationally as one of the highest testing standards for environmental performance.  

The certification process is rigorous, requiring each product to meet eight exacting standards regarding ecological impact, including ecotoxicity, aquatic, soil and geno-toxicity, critical contaminants, degradation, bioconcentration, and mobility. After products are tested and transparently scored for these criteria, the BNQ board must reach a consensus as to certification, guaranteeing a product to be environmentally benign. Any product deemed environmentally benign means it has no negative impact on the environment whatsoever.

Notably, the BNQ certification is only valid for two years, and products must be reviewed annually to ensure continued compliance.
