MSDSFile manages scanned images of MSDSs and indexes key data needed for reporting, including Tier II reports required for SARA Title III.
HazSQL is a software component for managing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs). MSDSFile manages scanned images of MSDSs and indexes key data needed for reporting, including Tier II reports required for SARA Title III.
The program contains a list of regulated chemicals, called RegMatrix. The users can search the list by CAS number or by name fragments. Once a chemical is selected, regulatory information pertaining to storage transportation, carcinogenic hazards, and SARA and RCRA classifications appears on the screen. In addition, all MSDSs containing the selected chemical appear in a table on the same screen.
For each MSDS, the table lists the MSDS and CAS numbers, identifies the manufacturer, provides the trade name for the material, and gives the percentage of the selected ingredient that the material contains. Users then select a particular MSDS from the table to find where the material is stored and the quantities in stock at each site.
The program is year 2000 compliant and runs on Windows 95/98/NT.
