SmoKey
SmoKey is a modified and re programmed Texas Instruments TI-85 calculator that is used to enter opacity data in the field with a single keystroke. After field entry, the data is easily uploaded into an IBM compatible computer through the serial port. Special software then converts the data into Opacicalc files for analysis and report generation. The system was developed by Patrick Rose at the request of a customer. It works so well that we are still kicking ourselves for not developing it sooner.
