Sewer Repair System

Ratech Electronics Ltd.s a localized, no-dig repair system that renovates the defective section of a sewer. It uses a repair module with a special design of rubber seal to guarantees a leakproof interface with the defective section of pipe. The seal is supported by a corrosion-resistant stainless steel sleeve, and is pressed against the pipe wall by the circumferential extension of the sleeve.

This repair module is comprised of the steel sleeve surrounded by an outer sleeve of rubber incorporating a specially designed seal. The stainless steel has a high durability and a resistance to most chemicals, including hydrogen sulphide. The outer sleeve of buadienstyrene rubber is also chemical resistant. Hydrophillic rubber bonded to the outer sleeve expands up to 300% in the presence of water, ensuring a watertight repair.

Four types of this product are available:
•Type 1 – non-cutting
•Type 2 – standard
•Type 3 – reinforcing
•Type 4 – grouting

This system can be used to treat cracks, fractures and defective joints to prevent infiltration and exfiltration. It can also treat voids to stabilize the pipe surround and prevent further deterioration can be used with all common sewer pipe materials.
