Rosemount Analytical's GCX Process Gas Chromatograph Transmitter Chosen "Breakthrough Product of the Year"

ORRVILLE, OHIO (March 30) BUSINESS WIRE -March 30, 1999--Rosemount Analytical's GCX(TM) Process Gas Chromatograph Transmitter has been selected "Breakthrough Product of the Year for 1998" by Processing Magazine. The editors of Processing Magazine chose products that make significant contributions to improvements in processing operations.

"We are very pleased to have our GCX Process Gas Chromatograph Transmitter recognized by the business trade press as an outstanding product," said John Gajewski, president of Rosemount Analytical's Process Analytic Division. "We believe the GCX represents a breakthrough in gas chromatograph technology that will significantly improve plant operations."

The GCX is the first industrial gas chromatograph in a field-mount transmitter configuration that incorporates many of the features of traditional process chromatographs. Housed in a Class 1, Zone 1, IIB +H2 rated enclosure, the GCX is suitable for applications in hazardous areas, and does not require an instrument shelter. In addition, the GCX design eliminates the need for continuous purge, reducing installation and operating costs. The GCX is also smaller and lighter than traditional process chromatographs, allowing installation closer to the process, reducing sample lag time and expensive heated sample line runs.

The GCX features a modular design with dual isolated compartments that physically separate the instrument electronics from the sample analysis section. The Easy-Slide oven and chromatography assembly can be removed and replaced in minutes, greatly reducing analyzer down time.
