Merichem Company, a global partner serving the oil and gas industries with focused technology, chemical, and service solutions, announced recently the appointment of Richard J. Guerrerio to the position of Vice President & Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Guerrerio is replacing Mr. Bruce Upshaw, who has served as Sr. Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of this business, and will retire effective March 31, 2011.
Mr. Guerrerio is a highly accomplished and enterprising business manager, finance executive and corporate officer, and, over his 38 year career, has displayed a very successful record of achievement in the mining, manufacturing, engineering support, chemical and petrochemical industries.
Prior to joining Merichem, Mr. Guerrerio held similar positions with several companies, including Vopak North America, Mettler-Toledo and SGS. Mr. Guerrerio commenced his career as a Staff Auditor with Coopers and Lybrand.

Mr. Guerrerio holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Marketing and Accounting from Fordham University and MBA studies at Iona College.
