Portable Pipetting Aid

MAX, the first portable pipetting aid with a built in memory is available from Bel-Art Products. MAX is a compact, lightweight, and portable, battery operated pipettor that uses long lasting AA rechargeable batteries. They provide a full day's pipetting on each overnight charge. With an automatic sleep function, MAX will turn itself off when it is idle for fifteen minutes and will save the last setting in its memory.

This unit offers three modes of operation: it can be programmed for automatic stop during aspiration, step pipetting during dispensing or regular pipetting. Pipetting speed is variable and MAX accepts standard pipettes from 1.0 to 75 mL with mouth OD from 3 to 9.9 mm.

Additional features include an autoclavable pipette holder, a self-contained hydrophobic filter to prevent overfilling and a venting mechanism to protect against corrosion when pipetting harsh chemicals.
