Electrical components that contain PCB laced with Dioxin can be safely disposed of in an HTT process furnace
Electrical components that contain PCB laced with Dioxin can be safely disposed of in an HTT process furnace. Components are loaded into the chamber on a moving cart. The chamber temp is raised to 800-1100F driving off the PCB and contaminates. The vapor and smoke is then sent into an afterburner operating at 2200F with a residence time of 2 seconds. This effectively destroys the PCB and dioxin. The metal components can then be recycled.
