Panasonic Introduces Air-Conditioners With Groundbreaking E-Ion Purification System

Secaucus, NJ - Panasonic, one of the leading global manufacturer of consumer electronics and home appliances, announced recently, at a press conference the launch of a new range of air-conditioners equipped with sophisticated dust monitoring and cleaning features through an E-ion Air Purification System with patrol sensor. The company also announced the Middle East launch of its new built-in type Induction Heating (IH) Cooktop which uses innovative technology to create higher levels of performance, safety and comfort.
Panasonic has developed the new CS18GKF, CS-C24GKF & CS-C28GKF air-conditioners to provide top performance and offer value-added health features that tap into the market's increasing preference for health-enhancing air-conditioning devices.
The CS18GKF, CS-C24GKF & CS-C28GKFs E-ion Air Purification System with patrol sensor monitors, detects and collects dirt in the air, even if the air-conditioner is not in operation, which enables 24-hour air quality monitoring and immediate action against harmful dust particles and bacteria. Both models also incorporate the Super Tropical Rotary Compressor, which guarantees efficiency under high load conditions, in addition to the groundbreaking Blue Fin Condenser technology, which helps extend the machine's lifespan.
Explaining how the pioneering device works, Abby Thomas, Product Manager, Air Conditioners, Panasonic Marketing Middle East, said, "Whenever the system's sensor detects dirt concentration above the allowable level, the E-ion Air Purification System discharges active e-ions that neutralize airborne bacteria and mould. The E-ions also catch negatively-charged dust particles and bring them back to the system's positively-charged mega filter in a boomerang-like mechanism."
Aside from eliminating harmful dust particles in the air by releasing around three trillion active E-ions, the air purifying system also neutralizes various air pollutants such as cigar smoke, cooking smoke, sweat or body odor, garbage odor and pet odor.
The Blue Fin Condenser technology, developed by Panasonic, has a life span three times longer than other condensers, is highly energy efficient with very low electricity consumption, and also uses a special anti-rust coating that withstands damage from exposure to corrosive factors such as salty air, wind and dust. The Super Tropical Rotary Compressor ensures better performance in hot climatic conditions by using the specially developed hermetic motor, which results in reduced heating.
On the other hand, Panasonic's IH Cooktop consists of two high-powered heating elements, each utilizing dual coils for uniform, stable and powerful heating that is regulated by temperature controlled sensors. The uniform heating provided by the dual coils helps to keep the flavour and nutrients in the food, while allowing for up to 30 per cent faster heating than gas burners.
Additional technologies such as a timer touch control panel in addition to an air intake and discharge system, help to maximize full cooking power by creating up to 90 per cent high-heating efficiency thereby reducing energy loss.
"Panasonic recognizes the importance of specific customer requirements and our extensive investment in research and product innovation has translated into customer-tailored high quality home appliances and consumer electronics," said Yasushi Sugita, General Manager, Panasonic Marketing Middle East.
The safety features of the IH Cooktop include a flameless illuminated cooking ring, an auto shut-off function, slip-resistant surfaces, overheat protection and a high-temperature caution light. The Cooktop also has a self-diagnostic function to alert customers to a potential problem by flashing a code on the built-in LCD screen.
The IH Cooktop has several features designed to provide comfort to the user, such as an inbuilt radiant heater to allow for the heating of a variety of cookware, including glass. Additionally, the Cooktop can be used in an open kitchen layout and in the design of an 'island' kitchen, allowing for greater cooking flexibility.
"We expect our latest Cooktop and air-conditioners to generate a lot of consumer interest in the Middle East, given its innovative features and technological adaptations. With the onset of summer in the region, this new range of air-conditioners could be in great demand, especially since consumers are giving top priority to their health. Panasonic has developed an industry-first purifying system which is designed to supersede the health requirements while delivering high-quality performance and optimum efficiency even under high-load and fluctuating voltage conditions," said Sugita.
