Operation and Maintenance Programs

The Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program is an integral feature of any asbestos program. The main objective of an O&M program is to minimize exposure to asbestos fibers. S&S's O&M program provides instructions on maintaining ACBM in good condition, ensures proper cleanup of previously released asbestos materials and monitors the condition of the in-place ASBM to prevent further release episodes. O&M plans include notification of building occupants and workers, surveillance of ABCM, control of activities that might disturb ACBM, delineation of safe business practices, perpetual record keeping, periodic inspection, program cost analysis, phased abatement planning and proper worker protection and testing. S&S will develop a comprehensive cost-effective program to help minimize owner abatement costs and liability.
