Bangkok /PRNewswire/ - Honeywell announced today the expansion of its long-standing strategic partnership with TCC Group to implement Honeywell Forge for Buildings at One Bangkok, the largest holistically integrated district in the heart of Bangkok to deliver key outcomes such as energy-efficient buildings, improved building performance and a more sustainable District.
Jointly developed by TCC Assets (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Frasers Property Holdings (Thailand) Co., Ltd., One Bangkok is a fully integrated development comprising five premium Grade A office towers, four distinct retail precincts, five luxury and lifestyle hotels and three luxury residential towers, developed under the core values of people-centric, sustainability, and smart-city living. Honeywell has provided innovative sustainable solutions in a long list of award-winning projects such as FYI Center, Samyan Mitrtown, The PARQ and QSNCC.
"In today's corporate real estate environment, Property Developers are facing several challenges to develop sustainable buildings and reduce their carbon emissions," said Anthony Arundell, senior vice president and head of Smart City, One Bangkok. "One Bangkok is designed with state-of-the-art Smart City and sustainable infrastructure, incorporating smart technology with an aim to become Thailand's first project to achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certification for Neighborhood Development with WiredScore and Smartscore Platinum certifications, enabling best-in-class digital connectivity and sustainable smart city living services. The project has set a new standard for technological excellence in Thailand by becoming the first real estate project to receive the Platinum WiredScore certification. Honeywell Forge is one of the key solutions to managing our energy use in the built environment and ensuring that we develop and operate sustainable buildings in the years to come."
According to Teerapan Luengnaruemitchai, managing director of T.C.C. Technology Co., Ltd., the organization envisions supporting One Bangkok in the areas of technological advancement, sustainability, connectivity, community engagement and improving the quality of life for its residents. Honeywell's strengths in implementing advanced industrial IoT solutions will enable insights that enhance operational efficiency and performance.
Many buildings managers and real estate developers today face pressing needs to curb energy consumption and reduce carbon emissions. Research shows that commercial buildings account for almost a third of global energy consumption and 37% of global energy-related CO2 emissions, while 28% of those emissions are related to building operations. Honeywell supports customers' sustainability goals with innovative, ready now products that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save energy, measure and reduce carbon impact, and support the adoption of renewable energy sources.
"Honeywell is honored to be part of this first of its kind development in the region," Sadiq Syed, vice president and general manager, Honeywell Connected Buildings. "Through carefully evaluating the requirements of One Bangkok, we understand that balancing cost and occupant comfort is key for achieving a sustainable environment.
