With this new Scienceware microwave stirrer, liquids can be heated and stirred in a microwave oven simultaneously. This magnetic platform uses the microwave oven's turntable drive spindle as the power source. It is well suited for applications such as the preparation of electrophoresis agarose gels, chemical compound purification (recrystallization), and the general dissolving of numerous solids into aqueous solutions and suspensions. The stirrer is 10-7/8 in. x 10-1/8 in. x 2-5/8 in. high and can be used with microwave ovens that have a spindle used to drive the turntable.
