MACTEC Wins $10 Million Contract From EPA
Research Triangle Park, NC MACTEC Engineering & Consulting (MACTEC E&C) has been awarded a $10 million, five-year contract from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The contract is a continuation of work that MACTEC has been conducting for the EPA for almost 20 years. Bruce C. Coles, president of MACTEC E&C and chairman & CEO of MACTEC, Inc., the holding company - made the announcement.
According to Dr. Arthur Werner, MACTEC senior principal engineer who is supervising the program, services the company is providing include:
- Source testing for mercury emissions and fine particulate matter
- Developing emission factors for air pollutant emissions used in emission inventories
- Remote sensing of pollutants using advanced techniques such as Fourier Transform Infrared Source Spectroscopy (FTIR)
- Ambient monitoring for fine particulate matter, ozone, and toxic air pollutants
- Data analysis
- Lab analysis
