The Macho System is identical to the Model 14 System with the exception that it is driven by an electric hammer. This provides easier field installation and greater depth penetration. The system comes complete with the highest quality rotary electric hammer available and can penetrate to depths of 8-15 ft. in average soil. A masonry bit, which is included with the standard system, permits drilling through driveways, basements, etc., prior to driving the shafts. The rate of penetration is increased about three times that of the slide hammer Model 14. Temporary sampling activities or permanent sampling locations (using Shield Points*) may be installed.
