N/Aany%> CD-ROM education course work was designed to be an instructional tool for management personnel with little or no environmental experience, attorneys, consultants, and insurance representatives who cover wastewater issues as well as for industry professionals needing a refresher course.

The course consists of four sections: Wastewater Characterization, Waste Minimization, Wastewater Treatment Processes, and Treatment Case Studies. Each covers a variety of topics ranging from BOD tests to the fundamental principles of sedimentation/flocculation. The course's authors are W. Wesley Eckenfelder (considered by many in industrial water-quality-management as among the field's foremost authorities) and Alan R. Bowers. Minimum computer requirements are a 486/50 processor, 8-MB RAM, 256-color display (with 800 x 600 resolution), 2x CD-ROM drive, a 16-bit sound card, mouse, and Windows 3.1.
