BREEZE AERMOD/ISC Version 5.0 Transforms Air Quality Modeling Visualization

The AERMOD/ISC software products are used to estimate ground-level concentrations of air pollutant emissions, primarily from industrial sources, for air permit applications and engineering design. The new version allows users to more effectively display the model results in relation to the surrounding terrain with feature enhancements such as:
- Image draping – Topographic maps and aerial photographs can be draped over terrain relief to help better identify noteworthy geographical references in the 3D view.
- Visual layering control – The user directly controls what is displayed in the 2D/3D views by toggling on and off sources by type, images, terrain, and pollutant concentrations.
- Terrain relief display – Now the user can generate more realistic images by controlling the colors of the terrain relief with a user-defined color scheme.
- "Look At" display-centering – Centering the 2D/3D views at a particular location is simplified with a new tool that automatically positions the views directly over an area of interest.
- Automatic receptor removal – Receptor grids can now be generated that automatically remove onsite or offsite receptors
- Multiple boundaries – Multiple boundary or exclusion zones can be created.

- Hourly emissions file editor – User can save time and more accurately characterize sources emissions, exit temperatures, and exit velocities that vary beyond what simple emission factors permit.
- Enhanced windroses – With greater control of how wind direction sectors and wind speed distributions are displayed, the user can more easily compare wind data with different distributions.
- Enhanced graphics file management – Users can create multiple unique concentration gridding files for use with Surfer® graphics software.
- Direct Internet access to meteorological data – The product links directly to the Web site WorldGeoData.com to enable meteorological and terrain data acquisition for modeling.
BREEZE software also includes modeling applications for predicting the effects of accidental releases, fires, and explosions. Custom model development and training are also available. Founded in 1974, Trinity Consultants also provides environmental consulting services nationwide.
