A personal monitor that detects and measures potentially hazardous levels of hydrogen cyanide (HCN) is available from MST Measurement Systems, Inc. The MST Shuttle Personal Monitor was designed to be used in plating operations, prescious metal reclamation, chemical manufacturing, and other applications where risk of HCN exposure is present. It is available as either an alarm only or alarm/digital display unit.

This monitor detects HCN concentrations between 0 and 30.0 ppm and responds to TLV concentrations in less than 30 seconds. Standard features include dual-level concentration alarms with audio/visual indicators, alarm test button, low battery indicator, and an auxiliary output jack for use with earphones or vibrating alarms. It operates on standard sized lithium batteries.
