Howard Leight® PerCap® Banded Earplugs Fold For Convenient Access To Hearing Protection

Smithfield, RI — Hearing protection leader Howard Leight has announced the availability of PerCap®, the only folding banded earplugs available in the personal protection equipment [PPE] market. A semi-aural protector, PerCap's soft polyurethane ear pods seal the opening of the ear canal and offer lower attenuation, making them ideal for workers exposed to low levels of hazardous noise.

"Many workers are exposed to either intermittent or lower levels of hazardous noise. PerCap's folding design offers convenient access as it is easy to stow in a pocket and don when hearing protection is needed. Extremely lightweight, PerCap offers wearers a high degree of comfort over both short and long periods of time. PerCap's multiple-position band can be worn under-the-chin, over-the-head and behind-the-neck. Optimal attenuation, NRR 21, is obtained when PerCap is worn under-the-chin, and NRR 20 when worn properly in the two alternative positions, providing reliable protection for many workplaces.

Originally developed by Howard Leight sister company Bilsom, PerCap has been enhanced by Howard Leight's patented polyurethane foam molding technology and signature orange-colored ear pods. Extending PerCap's performance, replacement ear pods are available separately.
