The TG-30 was designed specifically for locating SF6 leaks in the electrical substation environment.
Electrical Utility SF6 Managers: So your company has accepted the EPA's challenge to reduce SF6 emissions, and given the job to you! Not to worry - LIS offers a technology that allows you to quickly locate leaks in SF6-filled circuit breakers, busses, and switches while they are in service.

The GasVue TG-30 literally shows you where SF6 leaks are located in real-time on a TV monitor, and at distances up to 30 meters. The GasVue TG-30 is an improved version of the TG-20 system (US patent #4,555,627) that has already helped many electrical utilities locate the major sources of their SF6 emissions. Forget about soaping, hand-held sniffers, and those other labor-intensive leak location methods - they are all things of the past.

The TG-30 was designed specifically for locating SF6 leaks in the electrical substation environment. By making this normally invisible gas leak "visible" on the laser camera viewfinder, the operator is able to quickly pinpoint the source of the leak. The TG-30 is capable of detecting SF6 leaks as small as 1 lb/yr (1.5 cc/min), and its portability and wide inspection field-of-view allows leak surveys of entire substations in less than one day!
