The Safe-Cell System is a unique one or two stage ethylene oxide (EtO) destruction process. The Safe-Cell System destroys EtO from multiple sterilizer and aerator exhausts. No other system can provide similar performance while removing more than 99.9% of the EtO. Ambient temperature operation eliminates the explosion hazards associated with other technologies.
The Safe-Cell is an acid hydrolysis scrubber which removes high concentrations of EtO from sterilizer exhausts. The EtO is safely converted to ethylene glycol.
The Safe-Cell II is a high volume dry bed filter used primarily for low concentrations of EtO in the air. The filter safely destroys EtO leaving no hazardous or toxic by-products. A patented chemical reactant is key to this process. AAT offers complete reactant turn-around service. Reactant use is based on load conditions, however most typical systems require only annual change-outs.
