EM Features Software Special

Air & Waste Mangement's July 1997 issue of EM contains the 1997 "Guide to Environmental Software Products," described as an overview of 1900 products from 350 vendors. Published in EM since 1992, this year's edition constitutes 43 pages. Covered are 10 pages of supplier information and 33 pages of matrix presentation identifying each software's functional capabilities according to 39 categories. These categories fall under two main headings: environmental media and program functions. The last heading has three subdivisions: calculation, data management, and disclosure planning. Space limitations prevented A&WMA from publishing information on OS requirements, prices, detailed vendor information, and product descriptions.
