Koch-Glitsch, Inc. Knight Divisionmic structured heat transfer media is designed to offer a large capacity with no increase in pressure drop in regenerative thermal oxidizers. The geometry of the ceramic packing includes a high surface area, void friction and mixing characteristics that provide balance between throughput and heat transfer efficiency. It is said to be able to increase current capacity by 35% with no pressure drop, or lower the pressure drop 40% at the current throughput. It is available for retrofit or new operations.
