American Environmental International, Inc. (AEI)for use in applications where the recovery of solvent is not feasible, the Odorkleen system offers regeneration by hot flue gas. Saturated carbon beds are regenerated by a hot, oxygen-deprived gas and VOCs are thermally destroyed. A 95%+ removal efficiency of VOCs is said to be achievable using this product. It is guaranteed in writing to meet or exceed all applicable EPA regulations.
The system can use either steam or hot flue gas to regenerate the activated carbon bed. In cases where solvent recovery is desired, the saturated bed is regenerated with steam. After the steam has cleaned the bed, the solvents are separated from the steam through condensation and then recycled back to process.
