Camfil Farr Introduces Energy Saving Air Filter

Riverdale, NJ Camfil Farr has introduced a V-bank air filter that combines energy savings and economy with an all-plastic holding frame. Containing about 100 sq. ft. of media, the new "Durafil® 2V" has an exclusive pleat-in-pleat design that offers high dust-holding capacity, long life and low average pressure drop. It offers a more economical alternative to high-area mini-pleat filters, while still delivering all the energy efficiency associated with V-style rigid filters.
The enclosing frame and media supports are of lightweight, high-impact plastic for ease of shipping and handling. A built-in handle on the filter facilitates transport and installation. The filter is also fully incinerable after use. Applications include variable air volume (VAV) systems, or any commercial, medical/health care or industrial environment where high performance and product integrity are needed.
The Durafil 2V filter comes in three high efficiencies: MERV 11, 13, and 14 based on ASHRAE 52.2 (60-65 percent, 80-85 percent, and 90-95 percent, based on ASHRAE 52.1 Dust Spot). The water-resistant, microfine glass media maintains efficiency throughout its service life for optimum performance and reliability. A unique sealant channel that ensures media pack-to-frame bonding prevents air bypass, for added integrity.
The filter is suited to airflow capacities up to 2,000 cfm, with final pressure drop capability to 2.0" w.g. It includes an integral one-inch header for a secure fit into the filter holding mechanism.
