Bioremediation Technology Solves Home Basement Oil Spill Clean Up

Trenton, New Jersey - Bioremediation until now has been considered as a last resort for remediating fuel oil spills in home basements. Now Sarva Bio Remed LLC (www.sarvabioremed.com), manufacturer of SpillRemed range of bioremediation products, announces it has successfully cleaned up a fuel oil spill in a Pennsylvania residence.

Lewis Environmental Group, PA contacted the Pennsylvania Departmental Environment Protection and obtained approval to use Sarva's oil eating microbes (SpillRemed) for treatment of a fuel oil contaminated basement since no other options tried were working. The matter was most urgent since it was thought that the spill might contaminate neighboring homes and or possibly pollute local ground water.

The homeowner had vacated her home due to strong fumes. The environment company agreed to proceed immediately with the application of Sarva's oil eating microbes. Almost at once there was a considerable reduction of fumes in the basement. Lewis Environmental Group was able to restore the basement to its original condition after two more applications that week. The satisfied homeowner was then able to return to her home.

Recently newspapers have reported the problem of undetected oil spills in large public facilities that is likely to burden the taxpayer. Likewise basement oil spills in residences are common in Tri State area. Moreover, without an adequate solution, both the community and private homeowners could face serious financial problems. Fortunately, there is this new technology on horizon that may be the answer.
