The AW-2K is the first of its kind to use micro-technology, compact PLC's, and PC's to achieve low cost, accurate, and reliable stack gas analyzing system. AW-2K uses the latest technology such as thermoelectric coolers and chillers, miniature infrared, and electrochemical analyzers to build a system for the new millennium.

The EPA has designated these as Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS). The AW-2K meets and exceeds all US EPA regulations and requirements as stated in 40 CFR, parts 60 and 75. The AW-2K meets all state and municipal requirements. The system is in use in various parts of the world, meeting the requirements of various international government agencies. A-WE is confident we can meet your needs and exceed your expectations.

LOW COST INSTALLATION:
The AW-2K consists of only three unique components: the probe, the analyzer system, and the remote PC control and reporting system. These components are designed for ease, speed, and low cost of installation.

The standard probe can mount on a port as small as a 2" with a 150# flange. If stack gas flow measurement is required, A-WE's patent pending Multi-probe can be used. The Multi-probe combines stack gas sampling, temperature measurement and flow measurement in one probe. Installation of the Multiprobe requires only a 4" port with a 150# flange. The probe is heated and requires only 110 or 220 Vac at 50 or 60 Hz.

The analyzer box is only 30" H x 30" W x 12" D and weighs less than 130#. The analyzer box can be mounted anywhere on a wall, pole or hand rail for easy installation. The analyzer box is completely self contained with its own environmental control system. The analyzer box only requires a 110 or220Vac at 50 or 60 Hz power.

The analyzer box is close coupled to the probe by a heated umbilical. The length of the umbilical can vary, but it is optional that the probe and analyzer box be located within 20 feet or less of each other.

The remote PC can be placed in any control room-type environment. The PC is connected to the analyzer by an RS 422 or similar communication link. Fiber optic communication is also available.

After the communication cable and power requirements are met, installation, start up, and testing takes less than a day under normal conditions. Similarly, operator training takes less than a day.

Additional signals from optional devices such as opacity monitors, thermocouples, etc. can be tied in through the PLC located in the analyzer box. The signals can be converted, displayed, and stored in the PC operation and control computer. Additional signal lines from the analyzer box to the PC are not required.

Compare this to current competitive offerings: the AW2K does NOT require concert pads, walk-in environmentally controlled shelters, long and expensive umbilical runs, or constant attention.

REMOTE PC OPERATION, CALIBRATION, AND CONTROL:

The remote PC communicates with the analyzer's on board PLC. The control functions are resident in the PLC. The PC is configured to quarry the PLC. The PC can also reconfigure the program in the PLC. This gives the remote operator complete control of the analyzer from any remote location. The remote operator can use the PC, or via its modem, any remote PG. Safe guards and fire walls are included in the PC's programming to prevent unauthorized access to all or part of the PC's programming or data.

Programming is in Windows NT platform. The operator uses his mouse to point and shoot to bring up the various interlinked control screens.

The control programming provides graphic display of all data and operating parameters. Data is displayed as bar, digital, and graphic. Graphic data can be set to display over any selected time period from minutes to days.

The diagnostic screen displays the AW-2K system graphically. All incoming operating and control data and their set points are related to the graphic description of each individual component. Operational information such as probe temperature, umbilical temperature, analyzer temperature, pump operation, sample pressure, etc. are displayed along with their set points.

A set point screen allows the operator to change any operation variable remotely. The calibration screen allows for remote recalibration of the analyzer. This simplifies analyzer maintenance.

With the AW-2K's level of technology, the only reason to go to the analyzer box is to replace something. Maintenance is plug and play.

The reporting software is customized to meet your permit requirements. If you have a preference for a specific reporting program from another reputable vendor or software house, A-WE can accommodate most reporting programs.
