Automated Skimming System

The Smart Skimmer 8500-AS is a comprehensive oil removal solution. Computerized and adaptable, the skimmer is simple to use. The skimmer will automatically detect, engage, separate and recover oil from storm and waste water. The system is designed to work in sumps, separator tanks or any reasonably quiescent body of water. The skimmer cleans the water's surface and delivers only oil to the collection tank. All system functions are continually monitored and reported on.

The cleaning capability of the skimmer varies based on the type and concentration of the surface oil. The unit requires 2' access and a water depth of 3'. Turbulence can be tolerated, but might require compensation. The skimmer's functions are automated and can be customized for site specific operation. Standard sensor signals are intrinsically safe using approved Zener barriers and optically isolated from high voltage. Explosion-proof pump drives and controls available where required.
