Andrechak Named GM of W-C Diamond Group
Andrechak previously worked for Radian International, a member of URS's Dames & Moore division, as Northeast regional manager for the environmental and engineering services group.
He has directed large-scale site investigations and remediation projects for clients in the petroleum, chemical, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing industries involving regulatory compliance with CERCLA and RCRA; hazardous-waste facility closures; and waste-minimization and process-optimization projects in the U.S. and Eastern Europe.
Andrechak holds a BS in chemical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.
The W-C Diamond Group, based in Wilmington, DE, was formed when URS was awarded a three-year, multimillion-dollar contract to team with DuPont to implement the company's corporate site remediation program. The alliance now has a total of about 110 employees, representing a combination of former DuPont Environmental Remediation Service employees and URS staff.
The principal objective of the alliance is to protect human health and the environment while working to manage and reduce the overall cost of DuPont's corporate site-remediation program.
Headquartered in San Francisco, URS Corporation offers a broad range of planning, engineering, and architectural design, applied and environmental science, and program- and construction-management services through its two operating divisions, URS Greiner Woodward Clyde and Dames & Moore Group. With more than 15,000 employees in a network of offices in 38 countries, the company provides services for transportation, hazardous waste, industrial processing and petrochemical, general building, and water/wastewater projects worldwide.
