AmTech Completes DuraChem 580® Lining Project For Kentucky Utilities Company

AmTech Tank Lining & Repair completes the application of its proprietary DuraChem 580® lining of eight steel silos, helping Kentucky Utilities Company comply with federally mandated emissions standards for coal-fired power plants.

Plymouth, NH (PRWEB) - AmTech Tank Lining & Repair announces it completed the application of its proprietary DuraChem 580® lining of eight steel silos for Kentucky Utilities Company. The silos contain a refined carbon suspension used to ensure compliance with federally mandated emissions standards for coal-fired power plants.

According to AmTech Tank Lining & Repair Lead Engineer Dennis Paquet, “The silos were prepped for Durachem application. Then we applied our 100% solids, zero VOC spray-up DuraChem 580® lining system. The resulting thick-MIL, monolithic, flexible wall provides a “Tupperware” like surface, extending service life and providing long-term leak and abrasion protection of their capital investment. To minimize silo downtime and ensure uninterrupted EPA emissions compliance, our crews worked seven days a week over the duration of the project.”
