We, Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, are proud to announce the release of the Thermo Scientific Ambient N2O Gas Analyzer Model 46i for monitoring greenhouse gas emissions. Nitrous oxide (N2O) has been identified as a primary greenhouse gas with a greater potential for global warming effects than Carbon Dioxide (CO2). The Model 46i analyzer is designed to assist our customers in complying with global greenhouse gas regulations.

The Model 46i Analyzer measures N2O concentration using Gas Filter Correlation (GFC). It operates on the principle that nitrous oxide absorbs infrared radiation at specific wavelengths. Because infrared absorption is a non-linear measurement technique, it is necessary to transform the basic analyzer signal into a linear output. The Model 46i uses an internally stored calibration curve to accurately linearize the instrument output over any range up to a concentration of 50 ppm.
