Wet Scrubber Monitoring System
An in-situ gas detection-and-measurement system, designed for wet-scrubber emissions, provides detection in environments with 100 percent RH, 60 percent or more hydrogen, and little or no oxygen. It is available for hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, and chlorine as well as other fluoride and chloride gases.
The monitor consists of an "in-situ" electrochemical sensor and interface module linked to a dedicated controller or customer-supplied control/alarm device. It has no moving parts and requires no sample lines or sample-conditioning systems. Routine maintenance and calibration reportedly consume less than one hour per year, being performed on-site or off. The system is designed for battery and AC power supplies. Standard outputs include local audio and visual alarm indicators, dual-level alarm relays, and a 4- to 20-mA analog output. An optional serial output also is available.
