First, a few clarifications. Wet dust collectors are sometimes referred to as “wet scrubbers,” although they are technically not scrubbers at all. There are several types of wet collectors, including Venturis, cyclones and centrifugal systems.
Dry collectors are sometimes referred to as baghouses, or cartridge collectors – or air separators – and again, these are subsets within the dry category.
