BWF America, Inc. chemical treatments for felts are the factor which differentiates a commodity felt from a technically conceived and scientifically recommended felt. These treatments provide additional capabilities such as better cake release, resistance to abrasion and protection from hostile environments. All of these unique finishes add life and improve filter media performance. These special additions to the high quality felts include:

  • Standard Singed: and glazed surfaces.
  • Industry Specific: For maximum life: Ferrosurf, Alusurf, Woodsurf, Foodsurf, Cementsurf, Lacsurf.
  • Code 9: A non-stick cake release finish which provides resistance to abrasive dusts.
  • CS-17: The industry standard for improving cake release of wet, oily, fatty and sticky dust. Also available in a FDA approved version.
  • OptiClean Microporous: surface treatment for polyester felts. Provides surface separation and maximum release of difficult dust cakes. OptiClean "AS" provides anti-static properties.
  • CS-18: PTFE surface coating for high-temperature fibers. Provides a high degree of surface separation with excellent cake release.
  • CS-29: Extra heavy loading of
  • CS-17: for extremely difficult, agglomerating dust.
  • CS-30, 31: Spark resisting surface treatments for polyester felt.
  • CS-31: adds a bath treatment (CS-17) for additional repellency.
  • CS-42: Reduces the adverse effects of hydrolysis on Nomex. Effective when used with PTFE scrim support.
  • ASY: Woven scrim on cake side of felt; minimizes penetration and provides the cake release of a woven fabric.
  • AS: Anti-static design which utilizes static dissipating fibers in scrim and/or fiber batt.
  • Shellsurf: Surface treatment designed for fibrous, aggressively agglomerating dust.
  • ECD (Easy Cake Discharge): A finish designed for fibrous, sticky dusts.
  • SSR (Super Surface Repellency): Designed for sticky, oily, fibrous dusts. A surface release for fibrous dust.
