The EdgeTech Side Scan Sonar product line incudes the Model 560D Side Scan Sonar Processor and the DF-1000 Digital Control Interface.

The processor is a PC-based Pentium MMX system running on Windows 95. The product has a high-resolution (1280 x 1024) 256 color display, and towfish power and control. The software allows for simultaneous display of four channels of sonar data, adaptability to other software processors, and image correction.

The interface board an power supply mounts to the processor to provide power and control to the processor and a towfish. The sonar data is digitized in the towfish and sent up a high-speed digital up-link at 12-bit resoluion using a single co-axial conductor. In the interface, the sonar data is converted into a parallel output for the processor to display and store data.
