Burkert38 2/2-way solenoid angle seat valve with direct acting switching mode is designed to permit nearly a full bore opening when actuated. Available in brass, the valve has an opening range from 0 to 140 psi at temperatures up to 356°F. The pressure-relieved actuation, minimum seal exposure and precision of the valve components afford high reliability and long service life.

The zero pressure type valve has a direct acting-switching mode. The plunger is coupled to the seal tube so when the solenoid starts to move the plunger, a bore is opened. This causes a pressure relief in the valve inside, such that the valve can be easily opened fully by the magnetic field. De-energized, it is held close by spring force. The medium pressure on top of the plunger supports the closing force of the spring.
