N/Aty of software programs is available for the Spectronic Genesys 2 and Genesys 5 UV/VIS spectrophotometers. The software is available on program SoftCards, which are read-only PCMCIA cards that contain programmed tests, or on memory SoftCards, which can save test parameters and sample data. The software contains sequences for data acquisition/display in absorbance, percent transmittance, derivative, and repeat-scanning modes. It can also calculate three-point net absorbance and area under the curve and perform add/subtract scans and spectrum smoothing.
