Rotary Hefty System

The Rotary Hefty System is the most rugged electric hammer driven system available. The 7/8 inch hollow steel shafts are sufficiently rugged that they are also used with the Porta-PunchTM System. Depth penetration of the Rotary Hefty System is typically to 25 ft. in average sandy soils. Capabilities are expanded to include not only shield Point installation but Shield Screens (for mini-well sampling) and Spargepoints (used in remediation actions). The ability to easily reach depths to 25 ft. with hand held equipment proves to be a cost effective approach to site investigations and sampling. Prospecting for the extent of contaminant plumes provides the data for informed decisions, some as simple as where to install monitoring wells. Soil sampling is accomplished with open samplers or non-contamination soil samplers. When used with the optional 1 ½ inch auger and the 1 ¼ inch diameter non-contamination soil sampler a larger soil sample may be taken.
