Registration and housing is now open for WEFTEC 2015, the Water Environment Federation’s (WEF) 88th annual technical exhibition and conference. Scheduled for September 26-30, 2015 at McCormick Place, WEFTEC is the best place for water professionals to learn, connect, and explore new, transformative ways to manage water. Now featuring a new registration interface, it’s easier than ever to attend THE Water Quality Event.

“WEFTEC is the central meeting place for water professionals and leading experts from around the world to gather, learn, and share their innovative ideas, technologies, and expertise,” said WEF Executive Director Eileen O’Neill. “We’re very proud to consistently receive record numbers of abstracts, which represents the very best in field and lends to the credibility and strength of WEFTEC’s exemplary reputation. It’s a reputation built on meeting the professional needs of our attendees, which is based on WEF’s commitment to listen, observe, and respond. What we heard is that our attendees want more with less. What we did was design a more compact, intensely focused program that increases efficiency and accessibility without compromising WEFTEC’s integrity, value, and depth.”

Representing all water, all the time, the 2015 technical program and award-winning exhibition includes 135 technical sessions, 29 workshops, seven local facility tours, numerous events, and more than 1,000 exhibitors who will show off the latest developments, research, solutions, and cutting-edge technologies. A wide range of topics within more than 30 focus areas allow attendees to design their own, unique learning experience with the opportunity to earn continuing education credits. Attendees will also find increased opportunities to interact directly with global water experts through mobile sessions, product demonstrations, the popular Innovation Showcase, and more than a dozen specially designed pavilions.

Providing the best of both worlds for stormwater professionals will be the popular Stormwater Congress. Once again co-located with WEFTEC, it will feature focused programming and provide access to all conference exhibitors, including those in the 5,000 square foot Stormwater Pavilion.

The Opening General Session will generate excitement and set an inspirational tone with remarks from WEF President Ed McCormick and keynote speaker Rob Stewart, an award-winning biologist, photographer, conservationist, filmmaker, and author. Stewart will discuss his film, Revolution, and his efforts to raise awareness about the greatest evolutionary journey in human history and the awe-inspiring revolution that’s underway to save life on Earth. Stewart’s thought-provoking presentation will tie into the water sector’s own revolutionary efforts to transform the way we manage and sustain water.

Other conference highlights include the Water Leaders session; a brand new Mix with Members reception; the annual community outreach project; special sessions for the oil and gas industry as well as a session featuring the new video-based educational format (Interactive Knowledge Exchange - IKE); poster sessions, the design competition, the 28h annual Operations Challenge competition, and more.

No matter where you live or what part of the water sector you represent, water unites us all. Register today (http://www.weftec.org/registration/default.aspx) and be a part of One World. One Water. One Event.
