•Choice of materials to meet temperature requirements
•Refractory-lined steel for high temperatures
•Heat resistant fiberglass for low temperatures
•Alloy steels or refractory-lined fiberglass for medium temperatures
•Used in combination with other scrubbers for maximum design benefit
