PureFlue is the electron beam treatment of flue gasses which destroys more than 98% of furans and 99% of dioxins and other volatilized chlorinated hydrocarbons. Testing to determine the destructoin percentage of PCBs is in process.
With the addition of spray drying, ammonia injection and wet ESP processing, PureFlue also removes 98% of SO2 and 90% of NOx as salts of ammonia. In addition, fly ash, acid aerosols, and more than 99% of fine particulate matter are removed.
Flue gas rates to 200,000 Nm3/hr (120,000 cfm) and higher can be treated. This equipment will be used for SOx/NOx and particulate removal at a US power plant burning high sulfur coal (more that 2% sulfur).
