Portable Gas Detector

Biosystemss portable gas detector monitors up to four atmospheric hazards simultaneously. It measures oxygen, combustible gas, and up to two additional toxic gases. It is housed in a rugged, compact case designed to stand up to the most demanding environments. The new "smart sensors" are individually equipped with their own EEPROM memory chip. Besides storing information such as type, serial number and alarm settings, the chip also stores calibration adjustments and sensor-specific temperature compensation curves. Every time the sensor is calibrated it gets smarter, and accuracy is improved.

Options include the choice of two field replaceable snap-in battery packs. The NiCad pack option comes complete with a fast charger, which allows charging of the battery in or out of the unit in less than two hours. The Alkaline pack holds a set of three AA disposable batteries. Either pack provides up to 12 hours of continuous operation. The optional slip-on "smart" sample pump is powered and electronically monitored directly by the instrument. Detectors are also available in the form of complete kits, which include all standard accessories as well as calibration gas, regulator, and carrying case. Other features include one button operation, automatic setup, sample draw options and automatic calibration adjustment.
