SIWW is a global platform for water professionals to share innovative solutions for integration of sustainable water management strategies with urban planning processes. Scholarship recipients will receive funds for travel, lodging and registration, and will write papers or make presentations in the US to share what they have learned.

“Global innovation is essential to becoming the utility of the future,” added NACWA Executive Director Ken Kirk. “By promoting international exchange at SIWW, we hope to accelerate technology transfer and create an understanding of innovative policy options.”

“Exposure to leading-edge technologies, best practices, and methodologies to address water issues is invaluable when thinking about a sustainable water environment,” said WERF Interim Executive Director Dan Woltering. “Scholarship recipients will also have the opportunity to share U.S. experiences and expertise with other global water leaders.”
