  • Defining zones of contribution of pumping wells
  • Depth capacity to 150 m (450 ft)

The Model 200 GEOFLO Groundwater Flowmeter is an easy-to-use portable instrument, capable of simultaneous direct measurement of horizontal groundwater flow direction and rate. This extremely sensitive flowmeter operates on heat-pulse principles which independent testing and comparison with tracers on Superfund sites has shown to be highly accurate.
The Model 200 GEOFLO Groundwater Flowmeter consists of a probe with varying lengths of cable available, in interface box, and a laptop computer (customer- or vendor-supplies). The probe is factory-calibrated to match with the computer-controlled unit, allowing quick readout of measured flow.

Measurements are made within standard well screen, either slotted PVC or stainless steel wrapped. Standard packers are for 2", 4" and 6" screens; custom-made are also available.

KVA flowmeters are used for field determinations of groundwater flow rate and direction, inflow-outflow analysis, fracture zone location, water supply positioning, dam grouting requirements, and recharge zone determination. They are becoming standard use in oil and hazardous waste remediation processes that require measurement of funneled or circulated groundwater flow. The continual monitoring capacity is particularly useful for determining flow influenced by tidal action, periodic municipal well pumpage, or river flood conditions.
