The Model 14 System is designed for light duty use without electricity
The Model 14 System is designed for light duty use without electricity. Hardened, hollow steel shafts are driven into the ground using a slide hammer. After completing sampling activities, the probe is removed by reverse driving with the slide hammer or is extracted with a retrieval jack. The shafts are made of nickel plated, hardened alloy steel (stainless steel systems are available) and are connected with internal threaded nipples providing a smooth exterior coupling and eliminating excess friction during shaft insertion or removal.
