The 6500 Mercury Analyzer uses atomic absorption spectroscopy to provide accurate and dependable measurements of mercury. The 6500 Mercury Analyzer is an instrument that truly provides real-time data collection, online verification and data logging. The measurement technique uses cold vapor atomic absorption spectroscopy (CVAAS) to determine the mercury vapor concentration that is continuously sampled from the process gas stream. The analyzer is a rack-mounted, stationary point-source unit designed for traditional compliance system installations.

The 6500 Mercury Analyzer monitors stack gases on a continuous basis, performs instrument verifications (as subject to EPA Method 12A) and logs sample data in serial, digital, or analog modes. Distinguishing features based on scientific methodologies of the 6500 Mercury Analyzer are such as automatic background correction (ABC) and dual-beam reference cell technology. The Human-Machine Interface allows the user to configure options for alarm concentrations, zones, verification types and sampling times.

In Summary, the Forney 6500 Mercury Analyzer with CVAAS technology, utilizing ABC and dual-beam reference cell technology, provides a lower detection limit while maintaining analytical stability. This allows sample analysis without the gold-amalgamation traps utilized in other monitors currently available. CVAAS is a true real-time, continuous concentration value output.

  • Large color LCD touch screen allows much more sophisticated visual feedback to the user, like color graphics for real-time concentration plots and warnings.
  • Samples are automatically time and date stamped for compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) methods.
  • Samples are recorded in nonvolatile memory for laboratory reference, export to a PC, or field review on a large 4.5" x 3.4" color touch screen.
  • Works at the atomic level, minimizing sample interference and providing analysis you can trust.
  • Switcher Power Supply offers continual use with excellent reliability.
  • Analytical information is protected with flash memory technology.
  • Yearly calibration certification contracts for confidence in your reported analytical results.
  • Client Side Software for easy trouble-free data transfer from analyzer to the PC.
